
Welcome to Focus Pilates – a dedicated Pilates studio in Steveston Village featuring instructor-led Pilates classes on the unique reformer/half cadillac equipment. Private and semi-private instruction is also available for rehabilitation purposes and individual programming.
Pilates is a mind/body fitness system of exercises combining flexibility, strength, balance and coordination to the whole body.
There are more than 500 resistance exercises beneficial for rehabilitation, injury prevention, postural alignment and overall fitness and strength. While focusing on core stability and efficiency of movement, the individual and class programs are created to meet the needs and abilities of each individual by encouraging body awareness. Working through the progression of levels is an immensely strengthening experience, calling upon a commitment to mindfulness and whole body development.
A consistent Pilates practice, under the guidance of a knowledgeable teacher and the proper execution of the exercises, will benefit you with:
